Do You Have Questions About Custom Closets?

As custom closet designers and installers, a big part of our job is answering questions. Whether you are just beginning to consider custom closets for your home, you’ve already had your storage system installed, or anywhere else along the process, we welcome your questions and concerns. Our goal is to make sure that you’re completely comfortable and satisfied with your home improvement project, from start to finish and beyond.
Many of our clients, potential, current and past, call with similar questions. We thought it would be helpful to answer a few of them here on our blog.
Q: How do you make more space in my closet or other storage area?
This is a common question. After all, there is only so much space in your closet, and many of our clients are astounded by how well it can be optimized. What are our secrets? Remember that we have years of experience, and we’ve come across lots of tricks along the way. For example, if you have high ceilings in your closet, we might install a wardrobe lift to make good use of the vertical space above your head. In a smaller closet, instead of installing one clothing rod from side to side, we may install rods going from front to back, or one several feet over the other. Closet accessories like valet bars, pull-out shelving, baskets, bins and other items can all make a world of difference. We also work around anything unusual in your closet, like slanted walls, a crooked floor, a window or an asymmetrical shape.
Q: How will I know that I’ll like my finished product?
It can be intimidating to know that you’re about to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a home improvement project. When we come to your home for your free consultation, we will put all of our measurements and ideas into a special program which will allow us to design your custom storage space right then and there. You’ll be able to see it all in 3D before making any commitments. This way, if you have further ideas or you would like something changed, we can go ahead and do that for you before a single board is cut. Only after your approval will we schedule your appointment for installation.
Q: How do I care for my system?
When we leave your home after your installation, your custom closet system will be immediately ready for use. It’s almost maintenance-free; all you have to do is keep it clean and dusted. Your closet system will be made from MDF board with a melamine coating, so all you’ll need to do is wipe it down with a damp cloth periodically. If you spill something or need to clean it more thoroughly, use water and soap, and be sure to dry it well with a soft, dry cloth. That’s it!
Q: What if something should break in my custom closet?
All of our products come with a lifetime warranty. If anything should break or be defective in any way, simply call us and we’ll replace it at no cost to you.
